Nigeria's Independence Celebration

Nigerian Community of Charlotte celebrates  Nigeria's Independence in October every year. Check the event calendarfor the next occation. This event bings authentic African foods, African dance, fashion show, masquerades and more. The event usually starts at night although there could be soccer match tournaments in the afternoon. We also have kid's event during the Nigeria's Independence week. This is a celebrationt you don't want to miss. So please mark your calendar.

Children's Day

Childen's Day is an occation hosted by the Nigerian Community of Charlotte for all kids of all ages in an open Park. This event that occurs every year in the first week of August before the next school year begins brings so many activities for the families, such as: soccer tournament, story telling, awards, food, dancing and more. Christmas Gala

Nigerian Community of Charlotte celebrates the Christmas with family members and their friends and neighbors, but every one is welcome to the occation. Parties usually starts at night. This is an event for the whole family. Check the calendar for the upcoming event.

African Heritage Celebration

Nigerian Community of Charlotte, Great Aunt Stella Center and Dye/Hart Productions present the African Heritage Celebration. The is a yearly celebration that takes place in April 7 - 8 - 9. Daytime brings authentic African foods, arts and crafts, storytelling, African drumming and performances. Nighttime offers a party atmosphere with music, dance and live bands.
